This is regarding the proposed ‘Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan’ launched across the country with the objective of ensuring ‘Clean India’.

None other than the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had underlined the importance of sanitation for human lives by saying “Sanitation is more important than political freedom.” A clean surrounding and environment is a great motivator and it keeps our minds clean and fresh. Cleanliness is also an essential prerequisite for general public health. Acknowledging the importance of cleanliness for better living, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi while addressing the Nation on the occasion of the 68th Independence Day gave a clarion call to the countrymen urging all of us to take a pledge to ensure ‘Clean India’ by 2 October, 2019 which marks the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma. To realise the Mission of Clean India, Prime Minister has launched ‘Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan’ on October 2,2014.

In our Khetri also under the Banner of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Smriti Mandir – Swami Atmanishthananda took initiative for the same and hundreds of our Khetri citizens including monks, volunteers, students took active participation in this noble endeavor.
