Dilwar Khan, an orphan disabled boy of village Prapurna (Teh. Khetri) became homeless when his home gave in due to heavy rainfall in the last monsoon. A new house has been built by Ramakrishna Mission, Khetri on the ruins of his old house and handed over to him before the onset of winter on 15th November, 2010.

Child Eye Care Project



Ramakrishna Mission, Khetri has successfully completed Child Eye Care Project by free screening of 12000 students belonging to fifty different schools in and around Khetri with the help of a group of ophthalmic staff of an eye hospital of Jaipur. Each of the 12000 students was given a book on Swami Vivekananda. Out of the students screened 1191 students having refractive error were provided with free spectacles. The project started on July 15 and completed on November 8, 2010.

Free Eye Surgery Camps for the Cataract Patients of Khetri


The Center has started monthly free eye surgery camps for the cataract patients of Khetri tehsil and surrounding areas. Screening camps are held on the 2nd Sundays and Surgery Camps on the 4th Sundays of every month. About fifty patients are taken to an Eye Hospital at Jaipur every month. As far as information goes we alone are holding free eye surgery camps in the entire Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. We require minimum Rupees Three lakhs twenty four thousand per annum (@ Rupees twenty seven thousand per month) to continue the project.
