Dispensary: In the sphere of health, we run a charitable dispensary in the town. Patients are treated here at nominal charges. Presently two qualified Homeopathic doctors twice weekly, one allopathic doctor once weekly and another allopathic doctor daily giving their services.
In the year 2009-10, a total number of 2652 patients got treated. Out of that there were 1147 male patients and 1505 female patients.
Free Eye Surgery Camp: In the year 2009-10, four camps were held in collaboration with various eye hospitals. Free screening: 650 patients; Free Surgery: 105 patients: Free Specs given: 72 patients. Recently we have started eye surgery camp for poor patients on a regular basis on the last Sunday of every month.
News: On 8 June, 2009, a Heart Check up Camp was organized at the Charitable Dispensary premises of Ramakrishna Mission, Khetri in collaboration with the Global Health Medicity c/o Indrapastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. Cardiologists, ECG technician, Echo Technician of Dr Naresh Trehan & Dr Ravi Ratan Kesaliwal team have done ECG, 2D echocardiography & consultation about the heart diseases of 43 patients in total from 12noon to 5 pm. One 18 yr old poor girl was diagnosed having congenital ASD for which she will have to undergo cardiac surgery costing about 2-3 lakh rupees. Three patients were diagnosed to have mitral valve prolapse. Two to four patients will have to undergo various further cardiac tests namely hotler monitoring, stress echocardiography, computerized treadmill test (CTMT). Visiting guests were introduced to Swami Vivekananda’s relations with the late Raja of Khetri, Ajit Singhji and presented with some literatures of Swamiji.
